一般过去时(simple past tense)
表示过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态;
还可以表示过去习惯性、经常性的动作或行为。

十年前,李先生曾经是一位老师。
动词变化规则(规则变化):
1、直接加ed:
work-worked
look-looked
2、以e结尾的单词,直接加d:
live-lived
use-used
3、以辅音字母+y结尾的,变y为i加ed:                                                
study-studied
carry-carried
4、以元音字母+y结尾,直接加ed。
enjoy-enjoyed
5、以重读闭音节结尾的,双写最后的辅音字母+ed。
